Illinois Police K-9 Attacked Black Teen’s Leg During Traffic Stop
Illinois teen is currently recovering after he was attacked by a Granite City police K-9 on last week during a traffic stop. The dog latched onto the teen’s leg and wouldn’t let go, officers tased the animal in order to get the K-9 to let go of him. Devondrea Williams told KMOV after he was attacked, “I ain’t never screamed like that a day in my life.”
Around 2:30 am last Monday Williams was in a car with his cousin when they were pulled over by police. Williams didn’t know why they were being stopped and said police officers didn’t give them a reason. Officers says they pulled the car over because an individual had been involved with a fight. Williams’ cousin was the driving, corroborated the alleged about his involvement in a fight. Williams was in the back seat of the truck.
Williams said police asked for his information and asked him to get out of the truck. Williams could do much he says an officer grabbed his arm and several other officers pushed him against the truck.
