2004 Miss America Winner Ericka Dunlap Is A Member Of Delta Sigma Theta

Did you know that a Delta was crowned Miss America in 2004? Ericka Dunlap pledged the Mu Iota Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta.

Ericka Dunlap is an African American beauty pageant titleholder who was crowned Miss Florida in 2003, and Miss America in 2004. She is also known for being the first African American woman to win Miss Florida in the pageant’s entire history. There hasn’t been another African American woman to win Miss Florida since Dunlap won in 2003.

Ericka was born in Orlando, FL, and graduated from the University of Central Florida. During her time at University, she crossed into Delta Sigma Theta. She started a PR firm called Crown Jewel Consulting as well as the Crown Jewel Foundation. Her charitable organization promotes image awareness in young girls and social development.
