18-year-old charged in murder of 7-year-old Jaslyn Adams at a McDonalds drive thru in Chicago
Over the weekend, Chicago Police announced that Marion Lewis, 18, is charged with first degree murder in the shooting death of 7-year-old Jaslyn Adams. Adams was fatally shot at a McDonalds drive-thru, where she was in the car with her dad according to FOX 32 Chicago. Adams was seriously injured.
“It just don’t make no sense that a 7-year-old baby lost her life in this McDonald’s driveway. 7-year-old. Six bullets riddled her little body because someone did a cowardly act,” said Jaslyn’s Grandmother, Lawanda McMullen.
The shooting was reported the girl and a 29-year-old man were inside the car when they were both heard gunshots. The 7-year-old sustained multiple gunshot wounds, was taken to the Hospital where she was pronounced dead. She has since been identified as Jaslyn Adams according to the Cook County Medical Examiner’s Office.
The man was shot in the torso and taken to the hospital in serious condition, officials said. Family members identified him as Jaslyn’s father.
